Representative Ed Thompson Earns
“Courageous Conservative” Award
Austin, TEXAS – State Representative Ed Thompson received the “Courageous Conservative” Award from the Texas Conservative Coalition for his principled leadership during the 84th Texas Legislative Session.
The Texas Conservative Coalition based their criteria for the award on legislators’ commitment to advance, support, and vote for conservative public policy.
After compiling a comprehensive scorecard of floor votes for the 84th Legislature, the Texas Conservative Coalition notified Thompson that he earned the designation of “Courageous Conservative” and maintains eligibility for membership in the Texas Conservative Coalition.
“It is a real honor to be designated a Courageous Conservative and an unwavering advocate of conservative principles in the Texas House during the 84th session,” Thompson said. “I made some principled, yet challenging, decisions that will positively impact my constituents in District 29 and the state as a whole. We successfully cut taxes, improved education efforts, funded our transportation system, increased border security, and protected Texans’ Second Amendment rights, just to name a few.”
The Texas Conservative Coalition is the conservative caucus of the Texas Legislature.
Representative Ed Thompson serves the 29th District in the Texas House of Representatives representing Pearland, Manvel, Alvin, Brookside Village, Iowa Colony, Hillcrest, Rosharon, and Liverpool.
